Pinouts for Atari QWAK! (1974): ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Typed up by Andy Welburn - 20th October 2005 www.andysarcade.net This info was obtained from a original Qwak! Operations manual, and was used to hook up a real Qwak! pcb, so i know its right. Do bear in mind that this game runs on a Black + White monitor, so you'll have to work out some kind of hack before you can convert it to JAMMA ;) The 25v and the 16.5v AC are centre tapped to pin 21 and 22 (GND) 22-pin edge connector (double sided, single use) ---------------------------------------------------- | 1 | GND | 2 | GND | 3 | 25v AC | 4 | 25v AC | 5 |~~~~~~~ (key notch inbetween 4+5) | 6 | | 7 | | 8 | Speaker - | 9 | Speaker + | 10 | Video | 11 | Cathode for Start LED - | 12 | Antenna | 13 | COIN COINTER | 14 | START | 15 | COIN N.O | 16 |_______ (key notch inbetween 16+17) | 17 | COIN N.C | 18 | +5v OUTPUT (Anode for Start LED) | 19 | 16.5v AC | 20 | 16.5v AC | 21 | CT for AC voltages (GND) | 22 | CT for AC voltages (GND) WARNING : if you have the real manual like me (TM-008) you'll notice they get the gun pinout wrong on the wiring enclosure diagram, drawing 002485. They reverse the numbering on their diagram. I checked the pinout shown below against the schematics AND thegame pcb and these are correct, drawing 002485 is wrong. GUN CONNECTOR : ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ | 1 | -12v output | 2 | +5v output | 3 | input from gun sensor | 4 | TRIGGER N.O | 5 | TRIGGER N.C | 6 | GND NOTE : if you don't have the trigger switch hooked up to anything at all and you apply power, you will get a constant audio tone. All info supplied above is accurate to my knowledge, and i accept full responsibilty if your incompetance results in a blown board/monitor/house fuse/mind. All enquiries about sueing me should be forwarded to the above address where i will invite you to kiss my big fat juicy grits. enjoy! ;)
